About

The Australian and New Zealand Geomorphology Group (ANZGG) is an informal body established primarily to organise conferences on geomorphic themes for the benefit of the community of geomorphologists in Australia and New Zealand.

The ANZGG has organised 17 highly successful conferences since the first at Robertson NSW in 1982. The conferences are held every 1-2 years in small towns or unique locations across rural/regional Australia and New Zealand. They are well attended by geomorphologists from across globe, and others with an interest in landscapes, soils and the biophysical environment. The meetings are always characterised by wide-ranging presentations, and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A conference dinner featuring an entertaining address by a member of the geomorphic fraternity has become a much-enjoyed feature of the conferences. Conference locations are always selected with a view to providing interesting field trips in association with the meeting.

This website is intended to be an ongoing point of contact between the Executive of the ANZGG, which is elected afresh at each biennial conference, conference organising committees, and the wider geomorphology community.
